Spirit Strong ~ Spark Your Spirit


There is a trinity to God. He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Man is created with the trinity of a body, soul, and spirit. We have a
body made of the dust of the earth for this earthen kingdom, and one
day will return to the dust from which we were formed. And the
Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

We have a soul which is our unique personality. The soul relies on the things of this world which influences our behavior, habits; and thus, lifestyle. Our thoughts and emotions are part of what makes our soul. The soul is always mindful of its environment and adapts to the ways of this earthen kingdom. The earth was given to the first man, Adam, to be his home and he was responsible for caring for the earth. We are physically born into this kingdom.

We have a spirit. Our spirit is meant to be united with God, the One who created man in His image. He is our heavenly Father. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27 God is spirit and we are created to be a spirit person for His pleasure.

Only in our desire to be united with God can the spirit within us be given life; born of the Spirit of God in Christ, His Son. This is man's second birth, the spirit. God gives each person a free will to choose Him. In doing so, we have an eternal life that begins the moment we accept His invitation.

Now we are a child of the Almighty King whom we can call Father. He gives us a gift of the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit we have access to the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit is the essence of God. His love, nature, and character is shown to man in His Spirit. God's power, protection, and provision is given through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our tutor of the Word of God and all things concerning His Kingdom.

Therefore, we renew our mind daily to the principles of the Kingdom of God and learn how to live a life of the spirit united to our Father's spirit in His spirit Kingdom. All things of God are spirit. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

The battle of persuasion is between our soul and our spirit as they wage daily for the ultimate control of the body. However, the body (heart) is now the temple of God. The Holy Spirit dwells in our heart. Therefore, our soul is of the mind but the spirit is of the heart. The mind and heart are at odds until we bring our thoughts into alignment (captivity) with the Word of God. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

It is a daily communion with our heavenly Father; a reliance on the Holy Spirit; focused on living a spirit strong life in the Kingdom of God. We were created by God for His pleasure to be His children within His Kingdom, forever.
